Maine Moose Hunting
Moose is truly the very top of hunts, it is the largest of the Deer family. Maine has a very good supply at this time, over 30,000 in the state. At present, there are 3000 permits issued each year for this hunt. To receive an application you will need to contact Maine Inland Fisheries & Wildlife at 207-287 5207 or Click here for information on how to apply. When you receive your application you will need to pick 7 zones in the order you want to hunt. If Dri-Ki is the lodge you wish to hunt from, pick the first three in this order, Central, Northeast and Southeast. These three zones can be hunted from here.

Hunting a Maine Moose is a good hunt and a well priced one also. The chances of being picked have just been changed for the better. You can now get 6 chances for $30. as long as you keep putting in every year. Odds go up by an extra point each year. It is the best we have ever offered for sure. The hunt goes like this, if you are picked. It is a six day hunt but most of the time you will only hunt half the week or less. Be sure to bring a shot gun as birds are in good supply, and so are snowshoe rabbits. Bear are in fair chase, and you can hunt Deer with a bow. As you can see by these two bulls, we can give you the very best of hunts!! You are looking at 1800 pounds dressed weight. ![]() |
Maine Moose can be hunted with or without a guide. I can help you to hunt with Maps of the area. A guide comes in handy if you don’t bring your own equipment. He will supply the equipment needed, both for the hunt and the removal of the Moose from the woods.
